Margaret Marshall
Margaret (Marie) Marshall, 93, of Waynesburg, died at 3 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011, in Evergreen Assisted Living, Waynesburg.
She was born Wednesday, June 5, 1918, in Greene County, a daughter of the late Earl Fox and Nettie Wade Fox.
Mrs. Marshall was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church in Waynesburg, where she was a member of the John Wesley Sunday School Class. She was a member of United Methodist Women, where she had served as the treasurer for more than 50 years. She was also a member of Rebekah Lodge 385 and Daughters of America. Mrs. Marshall was a charter member of Waynesburg Fireman’s Auxiliary.
She was a homemaker.
Her husband, Amity “Red” Marshall, whom she married June 10, 1939, died February 7, 1980.
Surviving are two daughters, Brenda (Michael) Petrick of Port Orchard, Wash., and Karen Sue (Greg) King of Waynesburg; two sons, Larry A. (Elizabeth) Marshall of Waynesburg and Edward Lee (Sandee) Marshall of St. Louis, Mo.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathleen Fox and Madalon Fox, both of Springfield, Ohio; former daughter-in-law Frankie O. Marshall of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Aldene F. Hellstrom and Lela Fox, and a brother, Donald Fox.
