Robert Wayne Ackley
Robert Wayne Ackley, 63, died unexpectedly July 24, 2011.
He was born February 15, 1948, in Waynesburg, a son of Winfield Wayne Ackley of Alexandria, Va., and Elverna M. King Ackley of Waldorf, Md.
Mr. Ackley was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was employed as a computer specialist for Honeywell. At the time of his death, he was employed as a long haul driver with Crestline Trucking in Illinois. He was known to his trucking friends as “Gray Ghost.” He made a home with his wife, Judith of Laurinburg, N.C.
Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are a brother, Thomas Richard Ackley of Alexandria; a niece; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
