Greene County hiring lifeguards
The Greene County recreation department is hiring lifeguards for the county’s three public swimming pools. Candidates must be at least 16 years old, possess current lifeguard certification issued by an authorized organization or be able to attend and pass courses in professional lifeguarding, first-aid and CPR/AED training.
Lifeguards hired for the summer must to attend a mandatory training session, which will be scheduled prior to the start of the swim season on Memorial Day weekend. The three county pools, Alpha Aquatic Center in Waynesburg, Carmichaels Pool in Carmichaels and Mon View Pool in Greensboro, will open May 26.
Mon View Pool will open only on weekends except during the day camp program from June 18 to July 27. Carmichaels Pool will be open until Aug. 18 and the Alpha Aquatic Center and Mon View Pool will open until Sept. 3.
All admission prices will remain the same as last year. County children attending day camp will pay $2 at any of the pools during camp hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Admission for the aquatic center is $5 for kids up to 17 and senior citizens older than 62, and $7 for adults 18 to 61. The center will open from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and noon to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Admission for the Carmichaels Pool is $3 for kids up to 17 and senior citizens older than 62, and $5 for adults 18 to 61. The pool will open from 1 to 7 p.m. daily.
Admission for the Mon View Pool is $2 for kids up to 17 and seniors older than 62, and $4 for adults 18 to 61. The will open from 1 to 7 p.m. on weekends.
