Raymond L. Husk, 76, of Hopewell Township, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012, in his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 13, 1935, in Brave, son of the late Gurnie and Pearl Kelley Husk.

Mr. Husk was a retired employee of People’s Natural Gas with more than 40 years of service.

He was a member of Murraysville United Methodist Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, Woodlawn Masonic Lodge and Beaver Valley Beagle Club, past president and member of Coraopolis Beagle Club, IBF member of the International Hall of Fame and Tri-State Beagle Association Hall of Fame.

Mr. Husk was the greatest helper and “right hand man” to his daughter Rayma, owner of Bates Flower Shop in Hopewell Township.

He was a kind and selfless person who was generous to everyone he met. He took care of each and every member of his family, putting their needs before his own. His family is truly blessed to have had such a fine example of a husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Darletta DeHaven Husk; a daughter, Rayma Rutledge and Mike McKay of Hopewell Township; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Catherine Husk of Washington; and a sister, Shirley Kester of Indiana.
