Theresa G. Baldwin
Theresa G. Baldwin, 99, of Waynesburg, died unexpectedly at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012, in Washington Hospital, from apparent heart failure on Monday.
She was born June 16, 1912, in Calis, W.Va., daughter of the late Booth and Blanche Barnett Riggle.
Mrs. Baldwin had resided in the Richhill Township (Ryerson Station) area for several years prior to moving to Waynesburg in 1972.
She was a member of the former South Wheeling Baptist Church at Ryerson Station, where she was a member of the church choir.
Mrs. Baldwin attended schools in the Marshall County, W.Va., area.
She enjoyed crocheting, baking and flower gardening, as long as her health permitted.
Mrs. Baldwin was a charter member of Richhill Township Volunteer Fire Department auxiliary.
She was last employed in the dietary department of the former Curry Memorial Home in Waynesburg from 1968 until retiring in 1985.
On November 18, 1930, she married Ralph “Pete” Baldwin, who died September 11, 1967.
Surviving are a daughter, Joyce, wife of Randy Coss of Waynesburg, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are five sisters, Della Parson, Icie McCracken, Bertha Kinney, Gail Dolan and Theo Terhlen, and a brother, Denton Riggle.
She was the last of her immediate family.
