Michael J. Trumble
Michael J. Trumble, 52, of Washington, formerly of Harmorville and the Waynesburg area, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012, unexpectedly in his home.
He was born June 11, 1959, in Pittsburgh, son of Merle Trumble of Marionville and the late Elaine Rogozinski Trumble.
Mr. Trumble was employed as a guard at State Correctional Institution-Greene in Waynesburg, from where he retired.
He was a graduate of Springdale High School in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Trumble was an avid sports fan, loved the Steelers, hockey and baseball and also loved to play these sports. He also enjoyed coaching Little League football in Carmichaels.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a staff sergeant during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He received the following decorations and citations: the AF Training Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, AF Achievement Medal, AF Good Conduct Medal, NCO PME Graduate Ribbon, Small ARS Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, AF Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, AF Longevity Service Award, AF Outstanding Unit Award with Valor, Southwest Asia Service Medal and the Kuwait Liberation Medal.
On July 18, 2003, he married his now former wife, Stacey Bowman Burt of Marianna, who survives.
Also surviving are daughter Elaina Trumble of Marianna, at home; stepdaughter Cassie Bowman of Marianna, at home; sister Shari (Robert) Hiller of Gibsonia; and niece Kelly Kraus of Gibsonia.
Deceased is not only his mother, but also a nephew, Pat Sbaffoni.
