Theft reported
State police said items owned by James Butler of Waynesburg were stolen from a barn on Stewart Run Road in Center Twp. at 5:45 p.m. Feb. 23. Police said stolen items — which included various tools and equipment — were stolen and then returned to a store where the items were initially purchased; the suspect then received money for the returned items. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call state police at 724-627-6151.
Lawn damaged
State police said vandals damaged property owned by Ralph Burwell of Clarksville in Jefferson Twp. between 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Feb. 25.
Teen charged
State police said a 15-year-old girl was charged with assault and harassment after she allegedly attacked her mother at their home in Franklin Twp. at 6:05 p.m. Feb. 25. Police said the juvenile was arrested, processed and handed over to Greene County probation officers.
Fence damaged
Timothy Merglowski of Graysville told police that vandals cut a fence he owns on Tripp Hill Road in Morris Twp. sometime on Feb. 22 or Feb. 23, state police said.
Mailbox damaged
Vandals damaged a mailbox owned by Michael Wilson at a location in Franklin Twp. sometime on Feb. 25, state police said.
Vandalism reported
Mary Francis of Waynesburg told police that vandals damaged a grill and a chair she owns at a location in Franklin Twp. sometime on Feb. 25, state police said.
Food stolen
John Barr Stewart, 22, of Waynesburg was charged with retail theft after he allegedly stole two hoagies from the Exxon service station in Franklin Twp. at 2:52 a.m. Feb. 25, state police said.
