CARMICHAELS — The municipal authority continued Monday’s meeting to March 26 to give board members time to review a proposal to tap into a neighboring water system.

The Carmichaels Municipal Authority is considering using an interconnection with the Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority of Jefferson Township to supply customers with water if its water becomes contaminated.

The action is in response to residents who have been complaining about water quality and presented the authority with a petition with 1,000 signatures asking it to buy all of its water from Southwestern.
