David Donald Zollars

David Donald Zollars, 52, of Waynesburg, died at 3 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, of an apparent heart attack, in his residence.

He was born Friday, January 29, 1960, in Waynesburg, son of the late Donald W. “Snowball” and Clara Lou Nelson Zollars.

Mr. Zollars enjoyed motorcycles and breeding Labrador retrievers.

While working as a carpenter, he built his own home. He later worked for Energy Contractors, driving a truck.

Surviving are his companion, Cheryl Tichnor, with whom he made his home; two sons, David J. Zollars of Marianna and Donald A. Zollars of Waynesburg; three grandchildren; three sisters, Sherry Cornwell, Tammy (Will) Vance and Candy (Ronald “Fuzz”) Hoskins, all of Waynesburg; a brother, Steve (Pamela) Zollars of Owings Mills, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
