Elizabeth V. Dorsey
Elizabeth V. Dorsey, 83, of Greensboro, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 7, 2012, in her home.
She was born November 22, 1928, in Ronco, Fayette County, daughter of the late Frank and Anna Lakatosh Oravetz.
Mrs. Dorsey was a 1947 graduate of German Township High School, McClellandtown, and resided in the Greensboro area most of her life.
She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing bingo and playing the slot machines at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino.
Mrs. Dorsey was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her husband, Peter Dorsey Jr., died June 6, 2007.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry J. Dorsey and wife Stephanie and Jim Dorsey and wife Linda, both of Greensboro; two daughters, Lou Ann Morris and husband Marshall of Dilliner and Judy Wolfe of Point Marion; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Oravetz of Markleysburg and William Oravetz and wife Judy of Cardwell, Mo.; a sister, Margaret Slonka of Fort Pierce, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a grandson, Jerry J. Dorsey, Jr.; three brothers, Frank Oravetz, Steve Oravetz and Michael Oravetz; and a sister, Ann Watson.
