James E. Mike
James E. Mike, 75, of Morris Township, Greene County, died at 7:20 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, in Donnell House, Washington.
He was born May 9, 1936, in Mannington, W.Va., son of the late Elmer James and Martha Louise Simpson Mike.
Mr. Mike had resided in Jefferson, prior to moving to Morris Township, where he had resided for the past 35 years.
He was a member of Crabapple Community Church in Richhill Township.
Mr. Mike enjoyed gardening, general woodworking and listening to Johnny Cash and old-time western music.
He was last employed as a laborer with Morris Township, in both Greene and Washington counties, prior to retiring in 2010.
On August 27, 1960, he married Molly Elaine Malone, who died September 25, 2005.
Surviving are a son, James A., husband of Laura Mike of Dilliner; a granddaughter; a step-granddaughter; four brothers, William, husband of Debbie Mike, and Charles, husband of Sue Mike, both of Jacksonville, Fla., Donald, husband of Delores Mike of Morris Township, and Thomas, husband of Cathy Mike of New Castle; three sisters, Sue Keith and Sara, wife of William Hundall, both of Jacksonville, and Mary Jo Simpson of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, is a sister, Wanda Mike.
