Greensboro plans farmers market

Greensboro is beginning the second season of its farmers fair and market at the gazebo on Front Street on Saturday.

The market will be held every Saturday through Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market will feature fresh produce and eggs from Harden Family Farm and Collins Produce, Rachell Miller’s Autumns Boutique natural soaps and and skin care products, Harley Joe Gapen meats, Heather Huggins baked items, Willow Tree Farms, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6303, plants and flowers from Clark’s Nursery, Rising Creek Bakery products, beverages, music and children’s activities.

The weekly children’s art project will be pinata making in observance of Cinco de Mayo. Michael Huff will perform classic rock. A nonprofit organization also will be featured every week.

Local growers, artists wishing to demonstrate their crafts and musicians can participate by calling Darlene Urban Garrett at 724-943-3612.
