Tools stolen
State police said someone stole tools and fuel pump between April 19 and April 23 from a construction site on Hull Road in Franklin Twp. owned by Brown Timberland Land of Acme.
Vehicles collide
State police said no one was injured when vehicles driven by Debra J. Gales, 47, of Burton and Gwendolyn K. Simpson, 41, of Jefferson collided at 2:31 p.m. May 2 at the intersection of Route 188 and Fairgrounds Road in Franklin Twp.
Guardrail struck
State police said Christopher J. Shaw of Millsboro was injured when his vehicle collided with a guardrail on Route 188 near North Vine Street in Carmichaels at 2:57 p.m. May 3 before the car entered a grass field and rolled onto its roof.
Checkpoint results
Members of Troop B – Waynesburg’s Patrol Unit conducted a sobriety checkpoint along Rt. 88 in Cumberland Twp. on May 4. The checkpoint resulted in 131 motorists contacted, one DUI arrest, 29 traffic citations and three written warnings.
Report issued
State police in Waynesburg said they fielded 582 incidents in April, including 122 reports of criminal offenses resulting in 63 criminal arrests. Police said troopers investigated 42 traffic accidents, including no fatal crashes, and made 12 arrests for drunken driving. Additionally, police said they issued 263 traffic citations during the month as well as 174 written warnings.
