Greensboro plans Christmas event
Greensboro is holding a “Light up the Mon” Christmas event in Gazebo Park on Dec. 1, beginning at 6 p.m.
Residents can enjoy refreshments, carols, bring a decoration for the borough Christmas tree and enter the tree decorating contest.
Businesses, organization and residents must have their live or artificial trees for the contest at the gazebo no later than 5 p.m. for the contest, which benefits the Elm Street project. Judging will begin at 6 p.m.
The trees must be anchored to the gazebo walls and lights and decorations must be able to withstand weather. Each tree must have a decorated plastic container for donations. The tree that receives the most donations wins.
The Elm Street program will use the donations for housing, sidewalks, the farmers market and future development efforts.
