Greene County man alleges injury in suit

By Heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

A Greene County man filed suit against an Ohio-based company, claiming defective machinery caused him serious injuries.

Jeremy Frye of Garards Fort alleged that Onix Corp. in Montpelier designed a machine to manufacture wood pellet fuel that did not include a way to clean out accumulated sawdust. On Oct. 23, 2010, while Frye was working at Greene Team Pellet Fuel Co. in Garards Fort, the machine clogged, he alleged in a suit filed Wednesday in federal court in Pittsburgh.

Frye sustained severe injuries to his right leg and foot while trying to clean the clog, the suit alleged.

The filing alleged “substantial injuries, both physical and financial now and in the future,” and listed negligence and other claims.
