Eva M. Farley, 82, of Waynesburg, died Sunday, September 30, 2012, in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg. She was born November 25, 1929, in Garrison, daughter of the late Jesse B. and Lillie M. Pethtel Anderson.

Mrs. Farley retired from Packard Electric in 1983. She was a part-time employee of Hixie’s General Store in Garrison for several years.

Her hobbies included bingo, bowling, knitting, crocheting, fishing, dartball and playing cards with friends.

She was a member of Grandview United Methodist Church in Garrison; however, she had been attending Whiteley Creek Community Church for the past three years. She also was a member of Earl Kiger American Legion Post 120 Ladies Auxillary of Hundred, W.Va.

Mrs. Farley was a graduate of Waynesburg High School.

Surviving are her husband, Frank Farley, whom she married June 2, 1991; two sons and their spouses, Steven Hixenbaugh and wife Carol of Waynesburg and Danny Lee Hixenbaugh and wife Nancy of Warren, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law Kathy and John Moore of Warren; stepdaughter Kitty Lindsey of Florida; brother Fred Anderson of Aliquippa; sister Naomi Unkefer of Florida; seven grandchildren and their spouses; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, deceased is her first husband of 37 years, Glen Hixenbaugh. They were married July 7, 1947, and he died January 17, 1984. Also deceased are four brothers, Ray, Wilbur, Perry and Charles Junior Anderson.
