Bridge closed in Greene County

1 min read

WAYNESBURG — Greene County Bridge No. 22, located on Pollocks Mill Road in Jefferson and Morgan townships, is closed because of several issues found during an inspection today.

The bridge spans Ten Mile Creek in the two townships.

The county’s engineer, Widmer Engineering of Connellsville, is working with the state Department of Transportation to correct the issues so that the bridge may be reopened as soon as possible, according to a Greene County release for the news media.

Originally built in 1918, the 162-foot bridge has a 4-ton weight limit.
