Benjamin Arthur Bell
Benjamin Arthur Bell, 79, beloved husband of 60 years of Wilma Jean Hoy Bell, passed away suddenly December 7, 2013, in his home.
He was the father of Greg (Barbara) Bell, Debra (Ed) Scarborough and David (Sandra) Bell; grandfather of Kelli (Jason) Sobota, Matthew Bell, Ami (Marcus) Robinson, Jason Bell and Jordan Bell; and great-grandfather of Jason Sobota Jr. and Mia Belle Robinson.
Mr. Bell was born in Waynesburg, a son of Judson and Mary Bell, and was the last surviving sibling of 10 children.
He was a 1952 graduate of Waynesburg High School.
Mr. Bell was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served in the 2nd Marine Air Wing. He was a lifetime member of Marine Corps League.
In 1972, the family moved from Renova to Lebanon because of a transfer of his job from Dominion Resources. He also worked at Sumitoma Sitix Silicon Inc., until his retirement in 1997.
Mr. Bell loved to fly and obtained his solo license, but because of his health, was not able to continue. He enjoyed music and every Saturday evening at 7 p.m. was reserved for watching the Lawrence Welk Show. He enjoyed sports and coached his boys in Little League Baseball and basketball. He continued to attend his grandchildren’s games whenever possible.
Mr. Bell was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church, where he also enjoyed working as a volunteer for the Lebanon Presbyterian Church Upward Basketball League.
He will be remembered for his carefree personality and his willingness to help others. He loved and was loved very much by his family and will be greatly missed.

Family received friends Wednesday, December 11, with services following in Lebanon Presbyterian Church. Stine Kilburn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
