Officials still refuse to comment on investigation of remains

A spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Northern District of West Virginia again declined to comment regarding the office’s alleged investigation into human remains discovered in Wayne Township, Greene County, in mid-January.

State police and the FBI have confirmed that human remains were recovered from the township, which borders West Virginia, but have not released additional details regarding the investigation.

Police initially declined to even confirm the find, but eventually directed inquires regarding the discovery to the FBI in Pittsburgh.
