Howard Nelson Fox, 74, of Terre Haute, Ind., formerly of Greene County, died Friday, February 8, 2013, in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis, Ind.

He was born Sunday, August 21, 1938, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Willis E. and Dorothy Haines Fox.

Mr. Fox was a 1956 graduate of Waynesburg High School and a 1960 graduate of Waynesburg College.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waynesburg. While in Waynesburg, he also was an active member of Waynesburg Volunteer Fire Company.

Mr. Fox enjoyed reading and had an incredible memory, able to recall facts and figures from things he had read. He enjoyed traveling and loved to work with the stock market.

For many years, he worked in the financial group with the Pontiac division of General Motors.

On October 11, 2003, he married Lucy Fulord, who survives.

Also surviving are two stepsons, Don (Betsey) Marshall of Terre Haute and Jim (Jan) Pulliam of Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Larry A. Fox of Waynesburg; several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Chuck Fisher.
