SQUARE DANCE – A square dance (also line dancing, polkas, cake walk and more) will be held on Friday, May 10 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Rogersville Fire Hall. Caller will be Dave Dahl. SPRING MEETING – The Braddock Cemetery Association, near Graysville, will hold its annual spring meeting on Saturday, May 11 at 10 a.m. in the cemetery building. Anyone having winter grave decorations they wish to keep are asked to please remove them by May 4. All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting.

FIELD DAY – Southwest Project Grass will host a Field Day Thursday, May 16, in partnership with the Greene County and Washington County Conservation Districts. The Field Day is open to the public and costs $6 to attend. Reservations are required by Monday, May 13. AUTHOR TO SPEAK – Father Marian S. Mazgaj, a former resident of Rogersville, will speak about his new book entitled “I Will Go to the Altar of God” at the Eva K. Bowlby Public Library on May 15 at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend this free event. Copies of the book can be purchased at the local Giant Eagle in Waynesburg. After the presentation, Fr. FLAG DISTRIBUTION – The Greene County Veterans Affairs office recently provided info regarding flag distribution for 2013. Cemeteries need to pick up flags May 13-17 at the veterans affairs office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. For more info, call the office at 724-852-5275.

CANCER RUN – Greene County ABATE will hold its 14th annual Cancer Society Run on Saturday, May 25 to benefit the American Cancer Society. Signups will be held at Waynesburg Yamaha from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and bikes will leave at noon. Cost is $20 per bike, which includes a free event t-shirt to the first 50 riders. Everyone is welcome. The Greene County chapter of the American Cancer Society receives all proceeds from signups. For more info, contact Debbie Schaffer at 724-852-1789.

ALL-CLASS REUNION – Carmichaels Area High School and Cumberland Township High School will be holding an all-class reunion on Sept. 13 and 14 at the Carmichaels Firehall. DAY CAMP – Cornerstone Ministry Center will host the 2013 CBM Day Camp June 17-21 and July 29-Aug. 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The day camp will be for those finishing kindergarten through 6th grade. This year’s theme is “Kingdom Rock.” Free activities will include swimming, water and outdoor games, Bible lessons, crafts and more. Lunch will be provided. Transportation provided upon request. Register by June 3.
