James Edward Ankrom, 60, of Waynesburg, died at 5:36 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013, in the Golden Living Center in Waynesburg.

He was born Saturday, October 24, 1953 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Thomas Albert Ankrom and Betty Ward Ankrom.

Mr. Ankrom enjoyed fishing and playing the lottery. He also enjoyed being with his dog Raz. He was a self employed carpet installer and an all around handyman.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Tuggle with whom he made his home; two stepsons, Chris (Sherri Kirby) Tuggle of Waynesburg and Steve (Tina) Tuggle of Carmichaels; five grandchildren, Craig Tuggle, Corey Tuggle, Danielle (Rusty) Bennett, Garet Bennett and Stevie Tuggle; four great grandchildren, Logan Miller, Kolton Litten, Bailey Litten and Colton Tuggle. Also surviving are four sisters, Sandra K. (Roger) Scott, of West Finley, Maxine (Jerry) Rutan, of Oak Forest, Donise D. Ankrom, of Hickory and Brenda L. (Rusty) McClelland, of Holbrook; five brothers, Wayne (Patricia) Ankrom, of Waynesburg, Leonard A. Ankrom, Flatrock, Pa., Robert E. (Ludi) Ankrom, of Peoria, IL., Charles F. (Deb) Ankrom, of Waynesburg and Richard P. (Dee) Ankrom, of Sydney, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is one sister, Patricia S. Loughman.

Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director, 197 N. Maiden St Waynesburg, where services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 with Rev. William Parker officiating.

Burial will be in Oakmont Cemetery, Waynesburg. The family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Pa. Division Inc. Southwest Region 320 Bilmar Dr. Pittsburgh, Pa. 15205-4620.
