WCCC conducts registration for spring classes
Westmoreland County Community College is conducting registration for spring credit classes which are scheduled to begin Thursday, Jan. 9.
The spring semester features day, evening and Saturday classes, plus online courses held via the Internet.
Enrollment is open to new and returning students as well as high school juniors and seniors who meet eligibility requirements. Juniors and seniors will earn college credit upon completing course requirements.
The schedule includes courses for career preparation and liberal arts and sciences classes that will transfer to bachelor’s degree programs at many four-year colleges and universities.
Traditional classroom-based courses are conducted at Greene County Center, Waynesburg; the Youngwood campus; WCCC- Bushy Run, Export; WCCC-Fayette, Uniontown; Indiana County Center, Indiana; WCCC-Laurel, Latrobe; WCCC-Mon Valley, Belle Vernon; and WCCC-New Kensington, New Kensington.
Services available to students include academic advising, career counseling, and financial aid assistance with scholarships, grants and loans.
WCCC tuition for Westmoreland County residents is $93 per credit, which is one of the lowest in Pennsylvania; out-of-county students are charged double tuition. Additionally, WCCC is ranked 45th among U.S. colleges with the lowest net pricing by the Department of Education.
