Story Hour, Toddler Time returning to Flenniken Library
Story Hour and Toddler Time are returning to Flenniken Library beginning this week. Story Hour is for children ages 3 to 5 and will take place on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. Toddler Time, for children three years of age or younger, is held on Fridays at 11 a.m. Both programs will feature stories, songs, games and a snack. No pre-registration is required.
These programs feature Pennsylvania’s Early Learning Standards, presenting important educational concepts in entertaining ways. The theme for the first Story Hour is “The Beach.” The kids will enjoy stories and activities that will help them learn about language, literacy, health and science, in addition to other early learning standards.
The theme for the first Toddler Time is “Autumn.” Children who attend will become better at the foundations for early literacy and movement while enjoying activities and short stories.
Both programs are geared at helping to instill basic literacy, which is one of the five essential literacies promoted by PA Forward/Pennsylvania Libraries. For more information, contact the library at 724-966-5263.
Library hours are: Mondays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
