Kenneth L. Phillips
Kenneth L. Phillips, 76, of Sycamore, PA. died at 11:05 PM Thursday, September 26, 2013, Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, PA.
He was born Friday, April 23, 1937 in Jacktown,PA. A son of the late Hallie Lee Phillips and Sadie Virginia Ross Phillips.
Mr. Phillips was a Veteran having served with the U.S.Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed raising birds and pigeons and was a farmer. He drove school bus for McNelly Bus Company in Waynesburg for over 20 years.
He is survived by three Sisters, Mary Thorne, of Waynesburg, PA., Virginia Kennedy, of Sycamore, PA., and Edna Phillips Schrader, of Spraggs, PA, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Helen Kelley and Nettie Morris Adams one brother, Robert F.”Dutchman” Phillips
Friends will be received from 12PM to 2PM on Monday, September 30, 2013 the time of the service in Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director,197 N. Maiden St Waynesburg, PA 15370 with Rev. William Parker officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson, PA.
Graveside Military rites will be accorded by Representatives of the U.S. Army and the James Farrell American Legion Post# 330 of Waynesburg.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
