Man charged
State police said Jordan Richard Johnson, 21, of Crown City, Ohio, was charged with driving under the influence after he found intoxicated and sleeping in his vehicle on Interstate 79 in Perry Twp. at 3 a.m. April 10.
Man charged
State police said Casey Daniel Sharratt, 20, of Mount Morris was charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after a disturbance at a residence on Locust Avenue in Perry Twp. on April 9.
Tools stolen
State police said David Alan Durban, 49, of Waynesburg reported that tools valued at $227 were stolen from his truck sometime between 3 p.m. April 4 and 6:45 a.m. April 7 while it was parked on Sugar Run Road in Franklin Twp.
Crash reported
State police said vehicles driven by Jeffrey Taylor of Reedsville, W.Va., and Clyde Clayton of Waynesburg collided on Route 21 in Franklin Twp. on April 7. Police said Clayton was taken to Southwest Regional Hospital to be treated for an injured arm.
Man charged
State police said Frank Smith, 50, of Greensboro was charged with harassment after he struck Janet Bellis of Greensboro in the mouth and threw a phone at her neck at a residence on South 88 Road in Monongahela Twp. at 7 p.m. April 6.
Wire stolen
State police said Chevron reported that two actors went to the Hartley Road well site in Monongahela Twp., cut and then removed five grounds of 4/0 wire sometime on March 26.
Woman charged
State police said Sandra Louise Smitley, 63, of Dilliner was charged with harassment following an altercation with Tina Louise Hanlan, 40, also of Dilliner, at a residence on Main Street in Monongahela Twp. at 4:30 p.m. April 9.
Man cited
Charles Varner Jr., 51, of Waynesburg was charged with disorderly conduct following an argument with a woman at a convenience store in Franklin Twp. on April 12, state police said.
Woman arrested
Lacey Ann Lee, 32, was charged with simple assault following an altercation with two other women at a residence on Dairy Farm Road in Whiteley Twp. at 11:30 p.m. April 12, state police said. Police said Lee came home intoxicated, choked her mother and scratched her sister’s face.
Report issued
State police in Waynesburg said they fielded 942 incidents in March, including 83 reports of criminal offenses resulting in 35 criminal arrests. Police said troopers investigated 42 traffic accidents, including one fatal crash, and made 15 arrests for drunken driving. Additionally, police said they issued 407 traffic citations during the month as well as 117 written warnings.
