John Charles Burke
John Charles Burke, 64, of Morgantown, W.Va., passed away Monday, April 21, 2014.
He was born November 2, 1949, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Burke.
Mr. Burke served his country for four years as a member of the U.S. Navy and was a graduate of West Virginia University. He was employed at Waynesburg University for several years. Mr. Burke enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren; taking long rides with “Skippy” and watching the boys play sports. He also loved cars.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife and family.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Rosa Marie Burke; four sons, Chad, Chane and wife Jenny, Chaun and wife Katie, and Terry and wife Carla; three daughters, Chasity and husband Josh, Michele and husband Dustin, and Minnie and husband Shane; three granddaughters, Alexis “Louie”, Alexx and Ella; and five grandsons, Carson, Trenton, Trey, Bo and Burke.
Deceased, in addition to his mother and father, are a brother, Harold “Chuckie” Burke; father-in-law and mother-in-law Virgil and Minnie Riggleman; and brother-in-law Richard Riggleman.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Friday, April 25, in Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Morgantown, with Pastor M.A. Donham officiating. Burial will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery with full military honors.
