Mabel Kerns Clark, 87, formerly of Graysville, died at 8:20 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2014, in Pleasant Ridge Manor East, Erie, after experiencing failing health for the past several years.

She was born May 22, 1927, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late David Monford and Delsie Kerr Kerns.

Prior to moving to Erie in 2000, Mrs. Clark resided in Greene County for her entire life.

She was a former member of Waynesburg Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

On July 16, 1954, she married Kenneth Earl Clark, who died February 15, 2000.

Surviving are three daughters, Wendy E. Morris, Bonnie Jean Haddix and Rose M. Knisely; two sons, Melvin and Roger Dale Clark; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a daughter, Carole E. Cady; a son, William Daniel Clark; a granddaughter, Jessica Morris Petrie; and two brothers, Robert K. and Russell J. Kerns.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, with Pastor Kenneth Curfman officiating. Private interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Richhill Township.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
