Cree pours in 36 in Lady Mikes’ 55-46 loss to Brentwood

Caroline Cree put up a career-high 36 points, but the senior’s point total wasn’t enough Friday night at the Carmichaels girls lost to Brentwood, 55-46, in the first night of the California Christmas Tournament.

Cree also had a career-high eight 3-pointers.

Brentwood (5-2) led 17-5 after the first quarter, but the Lady Mikes rallied to trail by just four at halftime, 29-25.

The Lady Spartans gained a little cushion with a 12-8 advantage in the third quarter, and held off a late rally for the win.

Alecia Folina led Brentwood with 14 points. Stephanie Thomas (12) and Morgan Dryburgh (12) were also in double figures.

The Lady Mikes (3-7) play tournament host California tonight at 7 p.m.
