DINNER SHOW – A dinner show and dance to benefit the Waynesburg Senior Center will be held at the Center Township Fire Hall in Rogersville on Saturday, May 3 from 5 to 10 p.m. Performances by The Last Resort, Dave Clark, Bob Podish and “Eulah Mae McGillicuty.” Dinner will include all-you-can-eat spaghetti, salad, rolls, dessert, drinks and snacks. SPAGHETTI DINNER – A spaghetti dinner will be held on Sunday, May 4 at the Mt. Morris Fire Hall from 11:30 a.m. To 2 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Mt. Morris Lions Club.

FLASHLIGHT DRAGS – The first Flashlight Drags will be on Sunday, May 4 at the Greene County Airport. Flashlight Drags offers a safe alternative to street racing. The concept is a throwback to the early days of drag racing, where two cars line up for a race and someone blazes a flashlight to signal the start. It’s an 1/8-mile race, heads-up format, no brackets and no classes-just for fun. That means racers can race against anyone they want, as often as they want. The costs are $30 to race and $6 to watch. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. and racing starts at 2 p.m. For more info, call 724-852-5323.

CHURCH EVENT – Cornerstone Ministry Center, located at 381 Willis Rd. in Jefferson, will host a Revival and a night of worship on Sunday, May 4 at 6 p.m. with special guest Jonathan Shuttlesworth. A guest on Cornerstone Television, Faith Alive and other television programs, Jonathan also hosted “15 Minutes” on WARV in Providence, R.I. for four years. SQUARE DANCE – A square dance (also line dancing, polkas, cake walk and more) will be held on Friday, May 9 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Rogersville Fire Hall. Caller will be Dave Dahl. SPRING FLING – The Family Literacy and Children’s Department at the Bowlby Public Library in Waynesburg is cosponsoring an After Hours Spring Fling on Friday, May 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. Children of all ages and their families are invited to attend. Pre-register by calling 724-627-9776.

GNP CONCERT – Waynesburg University will host the 44th Anniversary Gross National Product (GNP) concert Saturday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Goodwin Performing Arts Center. SHEEP FEST – The 11th annual Sheep and Fiber Fest will be held May 17-18 at the Greene County Fairgrounds. Sponsored by Waynesburg Prosperous and Beautiful. Enjoy a fun filled day exploring the many facets of natural fiber production and use. See the variety of sheep breeds and learn about their unique traits and uses. Visit the alpaca booth and learn about the differences between sheep and alpacas. Throughout the day, watch sheep and alpaca shearing and dog shepherding. Juried craft and fiber art supply vendors are setup indoors displaying a wide variety of items made from natural fibers (sheep, alpaca, and others) and assorted finished crafts related to the fiber field. MOVIE NIGHT – Movie Night will be held at the Bowlby Public Library in Waynesburg on Wednesday, May 28. Promptly beginning at 6 p.m. “Saving Mr. Banks” will be showing in the library’s Young Adult room. There is limited seating, so call ahead to reserve your seat at 724-627-9776.
