Waynesburg Lions Club selects students of the month for April
Waynesburg Central High School seniors Jacy Shriver and Vincent Morrow were selected as Waynesburg Lions Club’s students of the month for April.
Shriver, daughter of Greg and Jenny Shriver of Waynesburg, maintains a 4.0 grade-point average.
She is a member of National Honor Society and a three-year letterman of varsity cheerleading, has been selected to Who’s Who Among American High School Students, and has received subject and academic excellence awards.
She volunteers as a dance choreographer for various events at the Waynesburg First Church of the Nazarene and makes Christmas cards for residents at GoldenLiving Center.
Following graduation, she plans to attend Waynesburg University to earn a bachelor of science degree in nursing. From there, she hopes to get a job at Ruby Memorial Hospital as a neo-natal nurse.
Morrow, son of Patsy and Cindy Morrow of Waynesburg, maintains a 3.96 grade point average.
He is a member of National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, SADD, vice president of Italian club, member of the library service club and a section leader in the band.
He is an Eagle Scout and has lettered in track and field, cross country and volleyball. He received the Joseph Ayersman American History Award, academic achievement and perfect attendance awards, and the Waynesburg University Stover Scholarship Award.
Following graduation, he plans to attend Waynesburg University to study pre-medicine and then attend a medical school.
