Marguerite Ginette White
Marguerite Ginette White, 90, formerly of West Poplar Street, Grove City, died Thursday, May 1, 2014, in Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation, Waynesburg, where she was a resident for the past five years.
Known to her family and friends as Ginette, she was born in Paris, France, October 24, 1923. She came to the United States in 1946 and was proud to become an American citizen.
She married Dale V. White April 29, 1947; he died in 1994.
She was a Grove City resident for 61 years, living on West Poplar for 34 years and Collegeview Towers for 7 years. Mrs. White was a member of East Main Presbyterian Church, and from 1966 to 1994, she and her husband were foster parents for 17 children.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Gerry) White of Atlanta, Ga., David (Cheryl) White of Clarksville, Antoinette White Cline of Emlenton and Rose Faust of Saxonburg; 11 grandchildren, Alex White, Josie White Ashe, Danielle Cline Shaffer, Lainey White Duncan, Stephanie and Elizabeth White, Timothy and Winter Hall and Brittany, Monica and Aubrie Faust; seven great-grandchildren, Donavan and Miranda Ashe, Madeline, Ryan and Ian Shaffer and Aeris White and Payton Duncan.
Deceased are her parents and a son, Jack White, in 1975.

Visitation hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, in Cunningham Funeral Home Inc., 306 Bessemer Avenue, Grove City. A service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park Inc., Grove City.
