Waynesburg Lions Club selects students of the month for May
Waynesburg Central High School seniors Corey Dispenza and Kerilyn Wilkins were selected as Waynesburg Lions Club’s students of the month for May.
Dispenza, son of Robert and Mary Ann Dispenza of Waynesburg, maintains a 3.9 grade-point average.
Activities include basketball, yearbook staff, newspaper staff, library service and varsity club.
Awards and honors include the Herald-Standard’s Winter Scholar/Athlete Award, National Honor Society and Honor Roll.
Outside of school, he is a youth basketball coach.
Following graduation, he plans to attend Slippery Rock University with an undecided major.
Wilkins, daughter of Krista Wilkins of Mt. Morris and James Wilkins of Fredericktown, maintains a 3.88 grade point average.
Her activities include varsity basketball, Relay For Life, varsity club, SADD, Alpha Beta, Penn Serve, Spanish club, Principal’s Council and National Honor Society.
Honors and awards include The Program Program Inc. Community Service Award, four-year-letterman in basketball and Centennial Chevrolet Winter Scholar Athlete.
Following graduation, she plans to attend West Virginia University and major in occupational therapy.
