Ruth Fitzsimmons Hall

Dorothy Ruth Fitzsimmons Hall, 94 of Rices Landing, and formerly of Uledi, Pa., died at 10:14 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Our Country Home, New Salem, Pa.

She was born February 5, 1920 in South Union Township, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late Ewing and Helen (Sickles) Fitzsimmons.

Mrs. Hall was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church, Uniontown, Pa. and attended the Revere Free Methodist Church since her marriage to her late husband, Donald “Dutch” Hall. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, canning and baking. Her canned beets were her specialty. For the past several years, Mrs. Hall would reside alternately with her son, William or her daughter, Marlene.

Surviving are a son, William R. Addis and his wife, Deborah, of Rices Landing; a daughter, Marlene Addis O’Callaghan and her husband, Laurence, of District Heights, Md.; a step son, Donald Hall and his wife, Shirley, of Masontown, Pa.; two step daughters, Penny Haymond and her husband, John, of Buchannon, W. Va. and Candy Lehman of Revere, Pa.; six grandchildren, Larry O’Callaghan and his wife, Sharon, Kathy Sidney and her husband, Richard, Mary Ellen Gessner and her husband, Richard, Christy Mauser and her husband, John, Eileen Brown and her husband, Roger and Peggy O’Callaghan; 12 great grandchildren; several step grand and great grandchildren; two sisters, Mellis Heck and her husband, Jack, of Stockdale, Pa., Jane Lehman of Uniontown; several nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law, Eugene Lincoln of Uniontown.

Deceased are two brothers, Donald Fitzsimmons and Newt Fitzsimmons; two sisters, Anna Belle King and Grace Lincoln; the father of her children, William R. Addis and her second husband, Donald “Dutch” Hall.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 19, 2014. The Rev. P. Keith Larson will officiate. Interment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
