Equipment stolen
State police said someone removed the turbo charger from an Ingersoll-Rand steam roller owned by Ten Mile Paving Co. of Washington. The theft occurred between May 5 at 3 p.m. and May 6 at 7 a.m. at a work site on Pettit Road in Franklin Twp. about one mile north of Railroad Road in Sycamore. The equipment is worth $1,200.
Two charged
State police said they charged Amanda Porter, 27, and Castil McMasters, 28, both of Clarksville, with disorderly conduct after they argued and threatened each other at a location on “A” Street in Morgan Twp. at 8 p.m. May 9.
Man assaulted
State police said Joshua Maraney of Greensboro reported that he was at a field party on May 9 in the Mount Morris area in Perry Twp. when someone attacked him and injured his face.
Jewelry stolen
Brenda Brewer of Waynesburg reported that someone stole three rings and some quarters May 5 from her residence on Lippencott Road in Morgan Twp., state police said.
Two charged
State police said Ralph Martin and Miranda Snyder, both of Waynesbrug, were charged with disorderly conduct after allegedly causing a disturbance at a locaion on Green House Road in Franklin Twp. at 9:36 p.m. May 9.
Stolen vehicle recovered
Southwest Regional Police said a blue Honda Civic that was found sitting in the Huddle House parking lot in Mount Morris on May 9 was reported stolen by South Charleston police in West Virginia. Police said the vehicle’s license plate was reported stolen by South Strabane police.
Crash reported
State police said vehicles driven by Robert J. Sweany, 34, of Hillsboro and Rose M. Dobbs, 67, of Cameron, W.Va., collided on Roy Furman Highway near Main Street in Gray Twp. at 8:30 a.m. May 10. Police said Sweany’s vehicle then crashed into a tractor parked alongside the highway. Police said Dobbs sustained minor injuries, while Sweany was not injured.
Child restraint checkup
The Pa. State Police in Waynesburg will be conducting a free child restraint checkup event on May 19 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Carmichaels/Cumberland Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept., located at 420 W. George St. in Carmichaels. Any parents wanting to have their child restraint checked for recalls and to learn how to properly secure child seats are encouraged to to participate. Certified restraint technicians from Pa. State Police will be available to assist.
‘Click It or Ticket’
The Pa. State Police in Waynesburg will be participating in the “Click It or Ticket” campaign from May 19 through June 1. During this period, police are taking additional steps to ensure public safety on the highways. This will be done through enforcement and education. The enforcement efforts include additional troopers patrolling the highways and aggressive enforcement of occupant and child safety seat violations, as well as crash-causing violations which include driving under the influence, speeding and aggressive driving.
