Lady Maples fall to Carmichaels, 3-0

The Lady Mikes won a Section 5-A match on the road at Mapletown on Thursday, defeating the Lady Maples, 3-0.

The match scores were 25-23, 25-17, and 25-19 in favor of Carmichaels.

Lindsay Scott had 11 service points and five kills for the Lady Mikes, while teammate Emma Lowry added eight service points and five kills.

Carmichaels’ Emma Lewis also had five kills in the team’s victory, while Katie Mays had seven.

Madison Bogden had 16 service points and six kills for the Lady Maples and Abby Shipley added nine service points.

Carmichaels (7-3, 8-4) hosts West Greene on Tuesday in Section 5-A action, while Mapletown (1-9, 6-9) hosts Hundred, W.Va., on Tuesday for the team’s last home game of the season.
