CHURCH EVENT – The annual Joyful Harvest Festival will be held at Spraggs United Methodist Church on Oct. 18 beginning at 1 p.m. There will be a covered dish wiener roast, and hot dogs, buns and drinks will be provided. The event will feature horse drawn wagon rides, sack races, three-legged races, a cake walk and more. There will also be apple butter making this year and lots of prizes to be won. Everyone is welcome, and there is no admission fee.

ANNUAL EVENT – The 34th annual Keystone Autumn Klassic will be held Oct. 18 at Woodside Farm in Waynesburg. This annual shorthorn cattle show and sale features exhibitors from all over the mid-Atlantic region. The day begins at 12:30 p.m. For more info, call 724-627-7240.

SWINE SHOW – The 45th annual 4-H Swine Show and Sale will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18. The show begins at 1 p.m. and the sale begins at 7 p.m. in the large arena barn at the Greene County Fairgrounds. Approximately 50 Market Hogs will be available for sale. SQUARE DANCE – A square dance (also line dancing, polkas, cake walk and more) will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Rogersville Fire Hall. Caller will be Dave Dahl. Cost is $5 per person or $8 per couple. Food and drinks will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. Benefits Center Twp. Volunteer Fire Department. Call 724-499-5385 for additional info.

SPECIAL BANQUET – The first annual Flashlight Drags Banquet will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Greene County Fairgrounds. Meet racers, enjoy a dinner catered by Trisha’s Treats of Fredericktown, and relive the sights and sounds of the Flashlight Drag Races. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. and guests will get to choose between two entrees. Musical entertainment will be provided by DJ Hersch. There will also be door prizes, 50/50 and games. COMMUNITY DINNER – The monthly dinner at Rogersville United Methodist Church (Social Hall) will be held on Friday, Oct. 24 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The meal will include meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, green beans, applesauce, roll, dessert and drink. HALLOWEEN PARADE – The Waynesburg Lions Club Parade will be held on Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m. The parade will organize at High and Morgan Street on the Town Hill and will kick off at 6:30 p.m. The parade will proceed up High Street through downtown Waynesburg ending in the parking lot of National City Bank at the corner of High and Morris Streets. Judges will award prizes in select categories and candy will be distributed at the end of the parade to all marchers. For more info, e-mail info@waynesburglionsclub.org.

HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR – The 2014 Halloween Spooktacular, hosted by Waynesburg Borough and the Waynesburg Area Chamber of Commerce, will be held on Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. on the courthouse steps. The contest is open to employees of businesses located within the borough and all members of the Chamber.
