Cal golfers maintain share of first place

California maintained a share of first place after defeating visiting Waynesburg Central, 229-249, Thursday afternoon at Cedarbrook Golf Course.

The Trojans improve to 9-1 in the section and 11-1 overall, and hold a ½-game lead over Carmichaels. The Mikes have a section record of 8-1.

California’s Matt Amber was the medalist on the Gold course’s back nine with a 6-over 42. Nathaniel Luketich and Josh Peters both shot 44. Jacob Cannon finished with a 47 and Cody Mock closed out the scoring with a 52.

Joel Rohanna was the low man for the Raiders with a 7-over 43. Aaron Yorio and Trey Rohanna both shot 49, Brandon Turcheck finished with a 53, and Kevin Lin rounded out the scoring with a 55.
