Waynesburg University’s Josh Mundell was named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference’s Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Mundell, a Carmichaels graduate, helped the Yellow Jackets record their first home shutout since 2004 when they blanked Muskingum, 33-0, on Saturday.

The sophomore defensive back intercepted a pair of passes, returning one 41 yards for a touchdown, and also forced a fumble and made three solo tackles.
