Severn Yakubac
Severn Yakubac, age 92, of Greensboro died September 7, 2014 in Canonsburg.
Mr. Yakubac was born April 2, 1922 in Mamouth, Pa., the son of the late Severn and Mary Viskovic Yakubac Sr. His wife Mildred Yakubac is also deceased.
Mr. Yakubac served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He became a Prisoner of War during the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded 3 Bronze Stars, the Good Conduct, and Victory Medal for his service.
He retired from the Ford Motor Co., Cleveland.
Mr. Yakubac was a member of the Carmichaels Congregation of Jehovahs’ Witnesses.
Mr. Yakubac is survived by a daughter, Sheila Kurila (Stephen), granddaughter, Lisa Mc Birney (Doug), both of Cleveland, a sister, Bertha Grenda, a nephew, David Grenda (Cheryl), and great niece, Kristen, all of Pittsburgh.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Carmichaels Kingdom Hall on Saturday, September, 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.
