Charles Ray Lough
Charles Ray Lough, 60, formerly of Nineveh, died at 9 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2014, in Washington Hospital, after battling a cancer-related illness for the past two years.
He was born October 14, 1953, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Arthur James Lough Sr. and Josephine Gertrude Ackley Lough Pierson. He resided in the Nineveh area all his life.
Mr. Lough attended Bristoria Baptist Church, attended West Greene High School and was a member of Waynesburg Eagles Lodge.
He was a former truck driver, stockperson at Giant Eagle, custodian at Carmichaels Veterans of Foreign Wars and laborer with the former Shumaker Construction Co. He was last employed as a laborer in pipeline construction.
Mr. Lough enjoyed caring for the elderly and handicapped.
Surviving are a daughter, Bridget, wife of Marty Haldeman of Aleppo; two grandchildren, Colton Braddock and Andrea Haldeman; a brother, Richard, husband of Deborah Lough of Prosperity; six sisters, Ester Lough, Charlene Madlock and Tammy Lough Ealy, companion of Scott Clemens, all of Washington, Mary Jo Pierson, companion of Reed Whipkey of West Finley, Linda Caldwell and Rena, wife of Brian McKiernan, both of Rapid City, S.D.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a brother, Arthur J. Lough Jr., and a sister, Sue Merrill.
Friends will be received from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday in Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 20, with Pastor Gary Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in Braddock Cemetery, Graysville.
