Elizabeth L. “Betty” Rush, 88, of Crystal River, Florida, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014.

She was known as “Betty,” born June 18, 1926, in Brave, a daughter of Henry and Minnie Phillips Hoffmann.

Her husband of 69 years, Albert Rush, survives.

Mrs. Rush also leaves behind sons David Rush (Suzanne) of Citrus Springs, Florida and Michael Rush (Nancy) of Lecanto, Florida; daughter Barbara Rush of Milton, West Virginia; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are an infant son, Larry Rush; a brother, Rudolph Hoffman; a sister, Mary Bissett; and a grandson, Stephen Harrison.

She and her husband moved to Crystal River from Milton in 2013. Before moving to West Virginia, they resided in Arizona for several years. She made many friends along the way. She and her husband especially enjoyed traveling throughout the world.

Mrs. Rush was a member of Crystal River United Methodist Church. She served actively in United Methodist Women Organization.

There will be no services.

Cedar Creek Assisted Living Facility and Hospice of Citrus County provided compassion during this time.
