Carmichaels has easy time with Maples in 11-0 win

The visiting Mikes scored six runs in their first at-bat Monday afternoon, as Carmichaels edged close to a Section 1-A playoff berth with a 13-0 win at Mapletown.

The Mikes (5-2, 9-2) added one run in the top of the second, five more in the third and a final run in the top of the fifth inning.

Josh Bogucki doubled for Carmichaels. Jacob Wamsley and Nick Mundell both had a pair of singles.

Michael Ludrosky struck out four to improve to 4-0.

Ben Boone doubled for the Maples (0-8, 0-10).
