Juanita Constance Phillips Cobb, 80, of Waynesburg, died at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2015, at home following a 5 year battle with cancer.

She was born Saturday, November 17, 1934 in Cameron, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Charles W. Anderson and Lillian Elizabeth Gorby Anderson.

Mrs. Phillips was baptized at a young age in the Church of God at Cameron. She loved to embroider and spending time visiting family. She worked for many years as a seamstress for Flushing Pajama Factory in Waynesburg.

Her first husband, Guy C. Phillips, Sr., died November of 1963.

Surviving are five daughters, Susan (Harry) Herrod of Waynesburg, Donna Phillips of Tampa, Florida, Leona (Robert) Holbert of Mount Morris, Helen Sago of Waynesburg and Judy Victor of Waynesburg; two sons, Guy C. (Mary Jane) Phillips, Jr. of Dilliner and Charles F. Sampson of Greensboro; one step-daughter, Charleen Armentrout, of Barberton, Ohio; three step sons; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; one sister, Pat (Merle) Sampson, of Holbrook and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are one son, Earl W.”Little Sweet” Sampson III and one sister, Alberta O. Lankford.

Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner/Director, 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, where services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015 with Rev. Bruce Judy officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Davistown.
