Driver injured

State police said vehicles driven by William A. Cooley, 42, of Waynesburg and Angela M. Hair. 27, of Carmichaels collided at the intersection of Lippencott Road and Homeville Road in Morgan Twp. at 10:53 p.m. Aug. 15. Police said Cooley suffered unknown injuries in the crash, while Hair was not injured.

Theft reported

State police said Charles Shriver of Waynesburg reported that someone stole three chainsaws valued at $500 from his garage on Valley Farm Drive in Franklin Twp. sometime between 2 p.m. Aug. 18 and 12 a.m. Aug. 19.

Crash reported

Two cars driven by Zachary Debolt, 20, of Finleyville, W.Va., and Dachmon Ruge, 33, of Holbrook collided on W. Roy Furman Highway in Center Twp. at 12:03 a.m. Aug. 21, state police said. No injuries were reported.

Plates stolen

Two dealer registration plates were taken from Solomon Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler on E. Roy Furman Highway in Carmichaels between Feb. 28 and Aug. 19, state police said.

Crash reported

State police said two motorcycles driven by Brian Ross, 57, of Beallsville, Ohio, and George Ross, Jr., 59, of Waynesburg collided on Jefferson Road Saturday night. George Ross suffered a major head injury and was air lifted to Ruby Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., while Brian Ross had minor cuts and refused treatment at the scene, police said. Police added that neither driver was wearing a helmet.

Men cited

Two unidentified men, ages 55 and 46, engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated into mutual shoving at Mapletown High School at 7 p.m. Aug. 19, state police said. Police said the altercation was quickly diffused by witnesses.

Found items

State police are requesting information on a DeWalt power drill and saw that was found on Fifth Street in Waynesburg at 8:50 p.m. Aug. 20. Anyone with information is asked to contact Waynesburg state police at 724-627-6151.

Vehicle damaged

Dale Robert Ealy Jr., 32, of Graysville, was charged with criminal mischief and harassment after he allegedly damaged a vehicle owned by Jasell Lopez, 19, of Washington at the intersection of Dividing Ridge and Poland Run Road in Richhill Twp. at 7:10 p.m. Aug. 19, state police said.

Marijuana found

State police said they discovered a large amount of marijuana plants growing in a wooded area in Monongahela Twp. on Aug. 23. Police said the plants were eradicated and destroyed, and the investigation into who grew them is ongoing.

Crash reported

State police said Bradley Tedrow, 24, of Waynesburg was traveling on Rt. 19 in Franklin Twp. at 12:03 a.m. Aug. 21 when he lost control of his vehicle, struck a guard rail head-on and continued on the guard rail for approximately 90 feet before going over an embankment and and striking a tree. Police said Tedrow, who was not injured in the crash, then fled the scene.

Items stolen

Sometime between 4 p.m. Aug. 14 and 4 p.m. Aug. 15 someone forced open a door at a residence on Deerlick Station Road in Morris Twp. and removed various items, state police said.

Gift cards stolen

Southwest Regional police is currently investigating the retail theft of two Visa gift cards, each totaling $502.95 by a male suspect from the BFS Foods/Sunoco in Perry Twp. on July 29 at approximately 2:45 p.m. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Southwest Regional police at 724-929-8484.

Theft reported

Southwest Regional police said an unidentified mail suspect stole two small flashlights from the Mt. Morris Pharmacy in Perry Twp. at 5:40 p.m. Aug. 18. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Southwest Regional police at 724-929-8484.
