Clara Louise Pitcock
Clara Louise Pitcock, 75, of Waynesburg, died at 7:25 a.m., Saturday, November 28, 2015, in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Tuesday, February 13, 1940 in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Charles E. Pitcock and Mary E. Ankrom Pitcock. She was a lifetime resident of Morrisville.
Miss Pitcock was a Life Member of the Oakview United Methodist Church in Waynesburg. She was a graduate of Waynesburg College and taught for 33 years at the East Franklin Elementary School in Waynesburg. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and was an active volunteer.
Surviving are two brothers, Albert Richard (JoAnn) Pitcock of Upper St. Claire and Charles Allen (Linda) Pitcock, of The Villages, Florida; one nephew, Scott A. (Diane) Pitcock of Evanston, Illinois; three nieces, Amy Lynn (Rick) Schroeder of Charlotte, North Carolina, Leslie Jo (Tom) Webb of Wexford and Tricia Ann (David) Fee of Canonsburg; three great nephews, Charles E. Pitcock, Charles Todd Aber and Kyle David Fee; five great nieces, Phoebe Ann Pitcock, Amelia Christine Pitcock, Mia Lam Testa, Katherine Grace Aber and Claire Ann Fee.
Friends were received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton, Owner/Director, 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg. There will be additional visitation on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the Oakview United Methodist Church 160 Rolling Meadows Road Waynesburg, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. the time of the service with Rev. Susan Hoover officiating. Burial will be in Greene Co. Memorial Park, Morgan Twp.
