Edgar (Cooter) Sloneker, age 81, of Jefferson, died December 7, 2015, in Golden Living Nursing Center, Waynesburg.

Mr. Sloneker was born July 11, 1934 in Jefferson, the son of the late William and Florence Clark Sloneker.

He was a retired coal miner.

Mr. Sloneker is survived by a daughter, Juanita Rose Cettin (Frank), of Bobtown and a son Edward Brian Sloneker, of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents are his wife, Agnes May Sloneker; a son, Ira Douglas Sloneker, two brothers; Tom and James Sloneker and five sisters, Esther Leahew, Evelyn Hall, Sarah Sines, Annie Fotta, and Cathran Phillips.
