Patricia Jo Bennett Hughes

Patricia Jo Bennett Hughes, 66, of Mt. Morris, went home to be with The Lord at 4:23 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015, in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.
She was born Monday, January 10, 1949 at home in Mt. Morris, a daughter of the late Elmer Franklin Bennett and Lucille June Frankhouser Bennett.
Mrs. Hughes grew up in Mt. Morris and was a 1967 graduate of Waynesburg High School. She was retired from HealthSouth Rehabilitation in Morgantown. Mrs. Hughes was a member of the Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God.
She loved her family and was a dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother and nana. Her life was spent serving The Lord. She found joy in comforting and encouraging others. Perhaps you were the recipient of one of her thoughtfully written cards or a word of encouragement. She is well loved and will be missed by many.
She married the love of her life B. Paul Hughes, Jr. on May 10, 1968. Their love only grew deeper through their 47 years of marriage.
Also surviving are one son, Dr. Frank P. Hughes and his wife Sarah of Mount Morris; two grandchildren, Hannah and Rebekah; one brother, William B. Bennett and his wife Sharon of Mt. Morris; one sister, Sandra Kisner and her husband Max of Frostproof, Florida; one sister-in-law, Nancy Lemley and her husband Don of Mt. Morris; three nephews, Steven Bennett, Rev. Tim Bennett and his wife Katie and Robert Lemley and his wife Tonya; four nieces, Tressie Mitchell, Jennifer Lemley, Kayliegh Hughes and Lacey Hughes and several great-nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, her mother-in-law, Orline C. (Lucas) Hughes and her father-in-law B. Paul Hughes Sr., all of whom she loved dearly and with whom she is now reunited. Honor her memory by being kind to others and by offering help to those in need.
