Washington defeats Lady Mikes, 65-37

Washington pulled away in the second quarter and put the finishing touches on its Section 4-AA victory in the fourth quarter Monday night for a 65-37 victory against visiting Carmichaels.

The Lady Mikes kept it close in the first quarter, trailing by five, 22-17. The Prexies (2-0, 5-1) gained some distance with a 16-5 advantage in the second half for a 16-point halftime lead.

Carmichaels (0-1, 2-3) fought back in the third quarter, 12-10, but Washington closed out with a 17-3 advantage in the final eight minutes.

Gina Ranieri and Kaitlyn Wilson shared scoring honors for the Lady Mikes with 11 points apiece.

Tajah Gordon and Mikala Maltony both scored 22 points for Washington.
