FITNESS CLASS — The Flenniken Library in Carmichaels is presenting “PiYo Live.” Prepare to stretch and sweat. Free fitness class Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. Instructor is Ashley Donaldson. Bring your own yoga mat and water. A donation of $5 per class is requested but not required. Call the library at 724-966-5263 to sign up.

ONLINE CLASSES — Gale Courses, free six-week online classes, are now being offered at the Flenniken Library in Carmichaels. The classes include topics such as accounting, grant writing, computer skills, web design and more. Call the library at 724-966-5263 for more info.

LIBRARY HOURS — The Bowlby Library in Waynesburg and the Flenniken Library in Carmichaels will be closed Friday, Jan 1, for New Year’s Day. The librarys will be open Saturday, Jan. 2.

BOOK CLUB — The book club for adults at the Flenniken Library in Carmichaels will discuss “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn” on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 6:30 p.m. The book club will meet the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.

CRAFT NIGHT — The Bowlby Library in Waynesburg is offering Adult Craft Night twice in January The first will be held on Thursday, Jan. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m., and the second will be held on Saturday, Jan. 9, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The craft project is a painted pallet wood snowman and the cost for materials is $20. FITNESS CLASSES — Beginning the week of Jan. 17, the county’s department of recreation is offering the following classes: CIZE, P90X, PiYo, Turbo Kick, Yoga and Zumba. These six programs will offer six-week sessions. For more information, call the department of recreation at 724-852-5323.

BOOK SIGNING — Local author Billie Allen will visit the Flenniken Library in Carmichaels for a book signing for her latest book, “Love Interrupted,” on Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 6 p.m. Come to the library for a special meet and greet, purchase the newest book in the series and have it signed.

STORY HOUR — The Bowlby Library Children’s Department is offering a Saturday Story Hour on Jan. 23 at 11 a.m. Children ages 4 to 6 years of age are invited to attend for “All Aboard: Let’s Learn about Transportation.” Call the library at 724-627-9776 to register.

SKATE AND DANCE — “Skate and Dance” events will be held at the Mon View Roller Rink in Greensboro Jan. 29 and Feb. 5, 12, 19 and Feb. 26. Admission is $8 and event hours are from 7 to 11 p.m. For more info, call the Department of Recreation at 724-852-5323 or Mon View Roller Rink at 724-943-3440.
